"Andy Dufresne crawled through five hundred yards of the foulest stench shawshank could dish out. He came out clean, on the other side." We have to get the experience we need somewhere. Lol.

A bit of advice to drivers: Compliance (and Safety) will almost never change your e logs. There is a common call that says something like this: "I drove from one side of the truck stop to the other and it tripped my log. Now I have to start my break all over. Can you change that one minute?"
The answer is virtually always "NO". First of all, even if you drove all over Iowa 80, you can't trip the distance requirement and if you're driving 25mph in a truck stop, you will be routed back to Dallas for additonal safety training.
From what I understand, this is an area that DOT audits are keying on and Compliance is just following the rules to the letter.

Looks like they are going to Grey Dog my co-driver back to Dallas and possibly fly me out a replacement. Not certain as yet. Just got a QC with a confirmation number and virtually no other information. I hope I don't get to ride along. I hate riding the dog.

There are lots of reasons training teams split up. Just a couple from this weekend: Pair have been on the truck for 12 days. One driver has yet to take a shower. (this is more common than you'd think!)
Another: Driver's temporary license has expired.

I'd have locked him out of the truck after 3 days or sooner, then have him stand in the trailer at the next wash out at Blue Beacon.

My trainer was bad... 4 showers in 5 weeks... I made him wait a couple of times so I could and even paid out the of pocket on occasion... sad to say I only had about. 10 in that 5 week period.

Are Stevens trucks auto-shift? Someone told me they are, but I want to ask here.
Also, what are they governed at?
