Needs 4 chains. The locals guys do that all the time apparently to conserve chains. It's bs. Also needs an extra coil rack.

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Those straps don't do anything but hold downward force. So you've got two chains holding any real forward momentum on a 42k coil. Does it cover aggregate WLL, technically yeah, but I wouldn't roll with it.

Well technically, you'd probably "roll" with it.

Exactly. At least 4 chains on that chunk of steel.

That securement meets DOT but not Roehl policy. Personally I would throw two more chains and roll with it, as I have done coming out of ROETG numerous times.

Every time I get a coil out of there I have to add chains. Have to get the tarp off enough to do it, then add the extra chains, then fix the tarp. I might as well just untarp completely and redo that too, but wait, they're not going to pay me for that. The coil racks, frankly, I'm not going to waste my time with. All things considered, I'd much rather just go pick up the coil myself and so I can make sure everything is right the first time.

I'm at the Pilot on I81 x25 in NY. Heading up to Lake Placid, NY in the morning to deliver. Got a preplan to pick up in Perth, ON and delivering in L'anse, MI. I just left Canada...seriously?

He's in Davenport IA..heading to Rice Lake WI for tomorrow about noon.

Just a side note about the 'your' choice pay plan...So if you get docked points for missing an appointment for pick-up or delivery, and when you get your dispatch and the pick up time was an hour before you got it, which makes you late for the pick up, does that mean it was 'your' choice?
