i am just wondering how did i manage not to get into a wreck for all the years i used a qualcomm in motion, and text in motion and talked on a cellphone in motion
must have been the hand of God
as far as the man changing the elogs, i have no idea how those things work, but i have heard drivers here state how they have to change lines when the computer misdiagnosis the situation
bottom line, we are jumping all over the man when we only heard one side of the story

Learners permits are good in every state, as long as a licensed driver is next to you. It has been that way for as long as I can remember...doesn't matter if it is a passenger car or a CMV, the permit works the same way. There is no reason at all why a person with a learners permit, under the watchful eye of a licensed driver, should not be able to drive out on the road.
...now when that licensed driver decides to climb in the back and take a nap? Now it is no longer legal for that permit holder to drive. -
WA, OR and ID the learners permit is only good for the state that issued it car or cmv.. now for other states i don't know
either way it seems to be the norm for how some of these mills operate -

When you go to Prime you get your learners permit and hit the road with your first phase of training within a week. If you pass that, you come back and get your official CDL, practice backing on the pad, etc. and then start the second phase. They pretty much throw newbies in the deep end. If they knew a trainer was behaving like that, they'd handle it post haste.

Well i've learned something new. When I went to school we had 3 months in class 2 months on what they called the range and 1 month on the road they called it but only the city streets and at the end you test out if you pass get your cdl and go to whatever company you picked. I assumed everyone did it that way. I had no idea that you can start training and drive otr with just a permit.

Dang girl, you went to school for 6 months? If I read that right.
I thought the guy who went for 12 weeks was a long time.

i dont know about that, your learners permit for a passenger vehicle is only good for that state, and no others. i remember that was what my kids teachers told them.
