I think a lot of us use this forum to vent a little bit to other drivers who know what we are dealing with. It's good to have a place where others can offer advice and be helpful while lending a shoulder to cry on :)

You kind of dont have a choice with jury duty. If you get pick to do it you have to do it.

It still had it snags. Most are the broker loads or lazy shipper/receivers. Their are also some other issues that a few of us are trying to he changed to make it better for the driver. There is no policies on anything here which is good and bad. My opinion there needs to be policies. Just puts a line in the sand on what is what. I know I complain on here. I also have anger issues....lol. Might be my PTSD. But I also need to get it out so I can convey it to the office in a professional manner. The only issues I feel needs to be fixed are layover, detention and breakdown. Other then that I don't have any other issues that you can live with.

I know most Co. have issues in 1 way or the other. it all depends on what we are willing to deal with. My largest complaint the last few years is equipment.... why there are not willing to take care of it are have it repaired properly is beyond me. one place i was at they had a truck that lossed water at a rate of a gallon every hundred miles and ran like sh@#. they would pull me out long enough to send somebody else out in it, then they would trash it out and put me back in. last time they got sick in it and left it. needless to say i quit !!!!!

I feel ya. Having a good maintance program with good equipment is nice. Here the trucks look nice. Run good if you keep up on it. ( no breakdown here ). The trl's are used so they are not in that good of shape. You get one fix hen the next one needs repairs. They would be better off if more took care of them but when you are trying to run you loose sight of what needs to be done. They are getting better at fixing the trl's at the terminals but if it wasn't for us telling them then I think it wouldn't have happen. I am starting to find less trl's that need major repairs and starting to find the one with the routine repairs which is nice. Less down time and less shop time. But a the same time this company is but isn't a trucking company. If you can understand that...lol. Just some parts of the company runs as a trucking while the other runs as the retail company. A lot more is put on the driver here to take care of but you are also given more freedom in how you run. I might ##### here but I like it here.
