Does a company have to tell you what they found on your dac report ? I recently applied to Givens out of Va and was told not eligable due to dac report findings. Besides beeing very rude about the whole thing he refused to tell me what the problem was. This was my first application with a company for a trucking job (didnt go well) I dont have any felonies, dui or any of the disculification items the advertise for prehire? Any advise is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Anyone know if DAC has to comply exactly like the Credit Reporting Agencies do? In other words,..7 years is the longest bad (negative) info can stay on your DAC,and in some cases maybe 10 years like a bankruptcy , or does it never go away? I searched and couldnt locate the specifics of that. And of course USIS website didnt volunteer that bit of info either. Anybody know,..Im curious,..I did mail off to receive my free copy of my DAC a week or so ago, just to have on file for me. Mine is clear to my knowledge, but it pays to be prepared.

I've heard in the past that any DAC entry remains on a driver's record for ten years. But I HAVE been out a while. Maybe things have changed now that USIS has pretty much taken over DAC.

I've been with Givens for about 10 months now and no one there has been anything but very nice to me. I think you may have taken something wrong that was said. Everyone that I have dealt with has been more than willing to help me be better at my job any time I have asked.

Are you sure it was the DAC report if it's the first time you applied to a trucking company ?

It is possible. Common name or something like mistaken data.

Yes they do. It is one stop shopping for info. They get your MVR from USISUCKS

My name is pretty common. There is 3200 of me in the USA. DAC AFAIK goes off your SSN.

One guy with my name is a 32YO registered sex offender in East Texas. Only problem with that is he has a darker skin color than me! :biggrin_25525:
