You have no clue.
My truck is older than 4 years and is not junk.
Weirdos? You should be banned for such accusations.

My guess is that you are one of the truck drivers who look like a slob and stink to high heaven that I see at the truck stop.
I have been doing it full time since 2003 and make more than I ever made driving a truck. I have friends that want me to buy them trucks so they can do this. You know why? They drive company trucks and cannot make enough to even live.bahamajohn98, truckon and LGarrison Thank this. -
Went to Newfoundland and made 1500.00 for a week's work as profit for the trip.
Went to Yellowknife and made 2200.00 net for the round trip.
Guess you have to know where, when, and how to do it.LGarrison, bahamajohn98 and truckon Thank this. -
I never said it did. What I said I have 30 years driving big truck and 7 years running RVs and I now add more miles backing up than you have total!
Those who run back empty make that choice. I have my own customer for my return trips
Maybe they just don't want to work so hard. There are a lot of retired folks who move RVs that have other sources of money.
Well I guess we are just like every other truck company, only I take a bath, wear clean clothes and sleep in my own bed in a paid for 2012 truck
How would you know what we make?
I just stated facts on what I do, no false picture. I enjoy running RVs I make good money and I will never get back into a big truck again. The only crap I have to put up with is drivers like you. And I bet your from Canada in the US we have CDL class A not class 1. -
LGarrison, how you feeling these days? Seems like you're full of vim and vigor.

A whole lot better, got my new DOT phy today passed with flying colors. Still have one med test at the end of the month (pet scan) to be sure they got all the cancer. Feed tube is out I'm eating better I hope to run this weekend into AB every thing is ready to roll.
-
Good to hear, hope it continues going your way.
LGarrison Thanks this. -
Road Medic, do you do this full time or part time? when does it slow down and for how long? I live in Central New York, so id like to run the east US and Canada. Based on your experience, are there alot of deliverys heading east? Im asking you, because you actually do this for a living.
-
Full time.
Last time it really slowed down was in 2008. Was in the big truck for a few months.
There is a slower time each year when they change the model years. July and August. I run pretty steady even though it is slow. I run where the freight goes.
If you like the east, there is always freight there. Not my favorite running area, because the dead head home is not through the house when I am done.
I might run a load to Milford Delaware and then back to get another one that heads south so I come home. As an example.LGarrison Thanks this. -
RIGHT ON THE MONEY you will never run out of loads to the north east.
