I have a laptop that is wireless internet. I do not need anytype of cellular aircard. I need to know if there is a device out there that i can plug into my USB port to pull the signal strength closer when i am in the sleeper? I don't care if it something i have to attach to my mirror mount or not. Thanks in advance.

Yup there is. You can pay out the wazoo at a truckstop. Or drop by any large chain and pick up an small external antenna with a USB connector. Usually about 3 inches long.

If you really want to fork out the cash. You can buy a directional. :) $100-150. It's about 10"x10" and mounts on a staff/tube outside your truck. Reception is great :)

Would Wal-Mart have these? If not, Would a truckstop have them and what do they cost? ( External antenna, not a expensive one )

Best Buy has them. I work at Best Buy now and had a trucker come in the other day and buy one. Looks like a little Satellite dish. Made by Belkin, I think.
