They took his load for a relay, so he's home tonight and on vacation for the next two weeks.

Delivered hardwood lumber in Rapid City, SD this morning and while unloading received a preplan. Nice.

Picked up more lumber in Spearfish, SD (backtracked to the west 48 miles) and deliver to Sparta, WI on Monday. So I get to do a reset (needed) and a long layover ($ appreciated). Works for me.

It took a little figuring to load eight 12' and eight 14' bundles on a step deck. Put six of the 12' on the lower deck then built up dunnage on the upper deck to match the level and allow six 14' to go on 2nd level. Then 3rd level has two pyramid 14' and two side-by-side 12' - scaled out perfectly with 77,500 gross and about 17,500 on each of the trailer spread axles.

Now at a new Pilot in Murda, SD.

The two previous trips beginning last Thursday totaled 3585 miles, and 2/3 of that was oversize, so next week will see a nice paycheck.

Got held up for three hours at the border today getting searched, getting my cellphones and laptop searched, and getting threatened with being arrested if I didn't stop calling them nazis. Was an interesting day. On US41 about an hour outside of L'anse. Returning my current load just past there in the morning then heading back to L'anse to pick up. Then hopefully into iron mountain to get this mirror fixed.

In Benton Harbor MI. Going to Mississauga ON. I get to be the guinea pig for the new border transponders on the Internationals. Have to call border supervisor when about an hour out to meet up to figure out where to put them. I guess a bunch of other drivers got hit in US for obstructed view and they had to be removed.

They searched your cellphone and laptop? For what?

Yeah calling border agents names is probably not the best idea.
