I did a valve adjustment on my 3406b my clearance seems to be way out. Does anyone have a website I can visit to give me the allowed clearance. I think they are supposed to be at .015 which is what I put them at. Across the board they were .030 out and the #1 and #5 were out to .050. This is my first adjustment on the new head I have about 100,000 miles on it. I'm hoping that b/c I went a little long on the adjustment and that the valves probably needed to seat, contributed to the valves being that far out.

Feedback or place to visit on the web would help. I'm not real good with computers thanks.

Sorry I did not make it clear. I set the intake valves to .015 and those were out the exhaust valves were much closer to the .030. Which I think they need to be.

usally when valves seat the gap will get tighter. as the valve wears into the seat it raises the valve stem not lower it.

Yea I gotcha. I'm thinking I just let it go to far before I adjusted them. I did not have any abnormal anywhere else besides the int. Valves. They adjusted properly and everything felt good. Something I just need to keep an eye on.
