When it is no longer CARB compliant just retire it and put historic plates on it and use it as a toy

It'll run with the junk fuel that is being sold now days. Just add about a gallon of automatic transmission fluid in each tank every other fillup to keel the pump and injectors lubed up. New fuel doesn't have nearly as much lubricity as the old fuel did.

    Logan76 and Cowmobile Thank this.

The atf can be red, as long as u keep the receipt handy. This is coming from a Colorado dot and tx dot man.

ATF fluid has friction inhibitors and additives in it designed to not burn things up in an auto tranny, it's the last thing I'd dump in fuel. If he wants to add some lubricity Wal Mart Supertech brand TCW3 two stroke oil will do the trick about a 300:1 - fuel:eek:il ratio... ...or thereabouts, google it. Bobistheoilguy website might be the place to find out more about a good mix ratio there.
