you need to isolate the noise first and find out where its comeing from to find out how to fix it. first un hook the antenna and see if it goes away if it doesn't then its from the power side if itgoes away try takeing the antenna end of the coax and pointing it in different directions untill it gets worse or better the worse will be the source of your noise.

Thanks for the help! Adding the graphite powder worked.

Glad to hear it worked.

My noise is coming through the antennas also according to all the radio techs and Cat that have tested it for me. My noise starts at 20 mph only when I step on the gas. Noise comes in without out the engine increasing rpm like when climbing a hill. Anytime the motor torques up the noise comes in at about 30 psi boost and falls back when I let up on pedal.

What kind of truck, year model,CB, antenna, & how do you have the ANL / NB set on the radio? -

Sounds like you have a Turbo causing allot of your problems i would like every one else said start with good grounds and then look at grounding the Turbo housing some way or putting a blanket on the turbo. With the noise coming in at boost pressure it sounds like the vanes are causing an electromagnetic field much like the wheel bearings do. The ground should fix it.

I have grounded my stacks and installed over 10 ferrites on the wiring harness(ferrites from DX Engineering). I am looking for some good ground cable to start grounding the turbo and everything else I can strap to. The noise did not go away with what I have done so far but it has changed a little. I will discribe later when I get a better handle on how it changed. I know one thing, the radio sure works good sitting still! It will be next Wednesday before I will be able to continue working on it. Oh yeh, it is hard to find the flat braded ground wire. What size welding lead should I use? #4 large enough?
