Thanks db and samurai. Samurai I'm new, I think its okay to overdue load securement for a while. I don't want to be the student picking up the 178 kegs that are on this load. I found the straps in the first empty I hooked up too, as well as the extra load bar. I've always been this way I want to learn the most profitable and safe way to be in this business. I am paid to get the product for the customer to a customer safely as I get more experience ill learn new ways to load secure. Also this truck just had a B service 1500 miles ago I hope the oil filter isn't messed up already. Thanks

Playa that is all well and good to be careful but when you spend the extra time to strap 2 extra straps and 3 load bars (which i have never used) it all adds up in the end. fast and efficient is the way to make money. you will pick it up fast. I think the most i have ever used is 3 straps. and that was for a mixed beer load. the whole trailer was cans except 2 skids on the back. one was regular kegs and the other was the long slender kegs. I basically strapped the slender ones to the regular ones then strapped the regular ones like i would normally do. Hey if you ever come across a strap net make sure you snatch that sucker. Those are the best for kegs.

LB, loved the videos, but it absolutely killed me. I'm STILL stuck at the house with a broken leg that is not healing (spiral fractured tibia sucks). So far it's been 94 days and last week the doc tells me that we now have to do the surgery route to screw the pieces together (he 'thought' it would heal on its own). So, with waiting for workman's comp to approve everything and then healing from the surgery, its probably going to be Feb before I get back in a truck. Your videos were awesome, but reminded me how much I love my job and how much I miss it.
L.B. Thanks this. -
Thanks. I hope they get your leg squared away. I couldn't handle sitting around. It must be torture. Get better soon!

Left Ohio this morning at 445 am and headed up to I 90 and topped off 70 gallons of fuel before getting into NY by this point snow and ice were covering my wind shield and I experienced for the first time what it was like to feel 79000 pounds slide even in the least. Made it safely to Binghamton NY at the loves for the night. Rolling out at 6 am for my 10 o'clock appointment in Mechanicville.

Some interesting news. I shot a dash cam video a year or so ago of a truck losing paper rolls right in front of me in Macon, GA before I started driving for Millis. (I worked on Robins AFB, GA at the time) The video has been on the news here in Macon and was featured on a TV show on the G4 network (don't get the network so I never saw the show) and now a production company with the Travel Channel wants to use it and is talking about an interview and everything. Just thought I would share. Could be interesting.
Here's the video. Check it out.
