I have the same problem with one load in particular that I haul a lot. I like the idea of a sign in there saying "fork lift driver responsible for damage". I see it on lots of different loads those they fly in at 80mph and like to use the metal kick panel in the nose for the brake. I tell them quick it's mine and I'd appreciate it if they wouldn't treat it like a Schneider trailer...
Just got rejected. WOW

I was at my receiver last week & saw a van trailer backed up to a dock. while the forklift was loading steel water heaters onto trailer, the floor gave way & the forklift & driver crashed to the ground. 15 ft of one side of the floor support gave way. the loader lost a couple of fingers, which may be reattached. scary, which I could of got pic's.

48 ft trailers are rejected more often, might need to look for a 53

Sheer Blasphemy!!! -
As a forklift operator in a former career path, if the kick panels are chewed up from pinwheeling pallets, you are dealing with some lazy or severely incompetent loaders. Even in a 96" trailer you shouldn't be rubbing the walls pinwheeling.
But, we all know the geniuses hired to load us :-/ -
They were looking for an excuse not to ship it. It's funny when they NEED it shipped any POS will do. When I first started hauling steel into Detroit in the mid 90's they would reject loads because they didn't have floor space. When the border tightened up and started costing the receiver money for sending it back for no real reason all that BS magically stopped happening.

Nice idea and fair but is could backfire.
All of a sudden forklift drivers would be on a go slow with you. -
Kick panels are there for a reason... and when they have lost their usefulness, you replace them.... Its called Maintenance !

That's true. Normal for that stuff to get banged up. On the other there's really no good reason to fly into a trailer wide open like some of these jokers do.
