It seems like you used trucking as a fail safe. You got fooled by the big money advertising and get rich quick lies. Your using trucking as a financial crutch to start a business.

Basically, unless you want to be in this industry 100%, and not for something else, you will not succeed out here.

Come on man, 2-300 paychecks at Stevens? I find it hard to believe you could only get the 1100ish miles to make that kind of check. I'm guessing your were pulling constant advances

I wonder why people keep blaming DAC. You had an accident/incident. Rather it is on a Dac report or not you are to report it to the next company. Most companies only want 1 preventable in the last few months or in the last 3 years. Some will say no more then 2 preventable's in the last 3 years. So it has nothing to do with you not giving a 2 week notice. Its the accidents/incidents and the insurance companies are telling them. Not to touch you. Even though they were minor. The only companies who may give you a shot are those super bad Safe stat score companies like 1234 showed, but you better keep your nose clean for a couple of years. So those incidents can fall off your record.

my comment is in respect to having 60k invested in a buisness not off the ground yet but willing to lose your home over If someone told you that about themselves you too might think priorities or planning are not in the right order.
I have been down and up and down again in life made mistakes and just survived all I can go by is what you post
When I started driving this year after a few years off I was on unemployment collecting $225 i know all about not enough

When I was in the pre lease at Stevens, they forced everybody in my group to be in it. I was making in the 4-500 range. When I told them I didn't want any part of the lease they cut my miles from about 3000 a week to 1000-1500. My last 2 loads was a 900 mile run I had to sit on for 4 day and a 1100 mile run I had to sit on for 6 days. I had to threaten to bring the truck back just so I could get time off after being out almost 4 months and I only had 1 restart the whole time I was out and I had to turn my phone off because someone would call every few minutes trying to get me to take a load or go drive another drivers truck for him because he ran out of hours at a Walmart.

I count 2 years of self schooling along with trial and error in that as well. it took me more time to get going good than I had planed on. Once I got it all figured out and started turning a profit I just didn't have the income to grow because I was only about 5k short of being able of quadrupling my income but the house was taking all of my profits not letting me save up to what I needed. Once I get the money back up I'll never have another boss again.

You need to be very careful when dealing with these mega-carriers. They are famous for putting everything and anything on your DAC! Including false info! I have had it happen several times to myself. Your best bet is to stay away from them. Actually the smaller companies rarely even mess with DAC. It costs too much and is of little importance. Its just another means of you being kept track of in an inaccurate manner!

As a new driver you don't have a DAC so make the most of it!
