Well I'm bout to leave Gary now. But if we ever run into each other ill have no problem. Or I can pm you my number.

I ran dry box for 6 months before I switch to flats. After my year I took the plunge into leasing. Some think its a bad idea, others think its a great idea. My settlements are pretty healthy to so I'm happy with my decision. Plus I can run a tab bit faster then 63 which I've been running 64/65 lately because I get better mpg there.

It is a business to. All cost are passed onto us, late fees, scales, everything.

 

Here I sit. Waiting for a different load. They wanted me to run a 273 mile load (total) which isn't cost effective for me and I have a bad tarp since Gary didn't have 1 good lumber when I was there last night. Load of lumber so I couldn't risk damaging the product.

From the sounds of it I might not be getting a load today. So I'm not happy. Seems like I keep getting the short end of the stick on loads.

My business partner is probably sick of talking to me. He is a great guy and I really like him. Easy to get along with. He told me when he saw that load he knew the conversation we'd be having.

 

Left Gary early and delivered steel billet to Cuyahoga Heights, OH this morning. Been waiting on next assignment for 2+ hrs. Not too terrible in the big picture but breaks the string of quick turns I've had in the last couple of weeks... Had to happen eventually... Just wish my 14 hour clock wasn't about to overtake what's left of my drive time. Oops there it goes... lol

 

In college park GA waiting for the time I'm allowed in the gate. Then get preplan to pick up 68 miles away. Not sure I can make that as I have just over 4 hrs left now on 14.

 

I end my day here in college park wi I-90 x147 dropping tomorrow in Elkhorn wi tomorrow 0700 an lantern yea when we do meet up that would be great and if you could ok me ur number and ill text you.hope they give you better loads you should have said "if you knew the talk we were gonna have why send it" lol

After a 4+ hour wait (which enabled a nice nap as well as figuring out how many points I have accumulated so far this quarter), finally got an assignment to pick up a preload tomorrow morning in Wheatland, PA going to Milwaukee. Had enough time left on my 14 to make it to the FJ in Hubbard, OH, about 10 miles from shipper.

Extrapolating the points out through the end of the year I am on track to be a level 6. Gonna need more miles to get it higher.

 

This is awesome. Checked in at 17:30 eastern for an 18:00 appt still do not have a door assnt.
