Bite the bullet, learn to not do it the wrong way, and if you need a job, and can't get one with a big company, find a small company that don't give a rats behind. It's not the worse thing to have happen, just another bump in the road. Never hurry, on anything. Some mistakes are forever. I know you feel badly enough, so I won't pile anything else on. You'll be ok, chin up, back straight and keep the radio cranked.

 

I have had the same experience , but with mud . An accident is characterized by property and or equipment damage in excess of $400.00 , injury and or death , A vehicle being towed from the scene , mandatory drug and alcohol testing , absent any of that stuff it is an " incident " , recording it is legitimate. Nothing out of the ordinary. Be extra careful and distance yourself from it all.

 

Here is a question: Is there any kind of law or regulation that states that a company has "X" number of days to report an INCIDENT or ACCIDENT on a drivers DAC?

It doesnt seem fair that a company can let an incident go for a long period of time and then when you leave the company go and report something that happened months or years ago?!
