No one makes you do pre alliance. You have a choice. And not getting by the house is as much your fault as your dm's.

My experience has been very different... I was asked if I wanted to go prealliance, I chose not to... I still get miles
.. I have been home twice in three months on Grad fleet and been asked if I wanted to go when I have been close...

It's all what you make it, but my experience thus far has been very positive.

    Corporal_Clegg and TRKRSHONEY Thank this.

I will say this, I do not want to be a lease driver. Seems way to easy to loose your butt if you don't know what you are doing. I want to stick to being a company driver.

What's your avg miles per week, Kmac? I don't have many bills and no wife/kids/housing to pay for but I kind of like to know what I'm looking at.

Thats bull... I stayed on them a lot after I was out about a month and a half. They always give me the same answer "theres nothing around you thats going by your house BUT if you take this load over to where ever, thats where the freight is coming from to get you by your place" then I get there and surprise they give me a load going the other way and the same line again and I knew it was BS because I live off of I40 and I24 close to Nashville.. Your right they didn't force us to do pre alliance, they just didn't give us an option not to.. Just your getting your own truck and this is what your going to do

Average is about 23 - 2700m/week. And the problem with most of the guys that lose their backside, is the fact they don't think about the ramifications of their decisions. So most of the guys that are bellyaching are the ones that weren't willing to work at it.

So you know, if your not a lease driver you can't take the truck home. You'll need to find a locked finced in lot that meets there specs to leave your truck and trailer in when you go home or they will have it towed. The same goes for if you did happen to want to take a day off anywhere else in the country

Thats a load of BS. They dont put you on pre alliance unless you ask for it. As for the home time I cant say what your experience was but I have never had trouble getting home when I wanted to.

A matter of fact I know 2 people in the room at the same time that could back me up on it. I can only contact 1 of them now tho. The one that I've stayed in touch with left about the same time I did. The other was my dumb and dumber partner. His phone got disconnected.. Kinda figured they were starving him to death and he couldn't pay the bill. The other guy had about 30 numbers from the class and all but 2 or 3 had been disconnected as of 3 months ago

I am a company driver... my highest week was 3400 miles, my lowest around 1800... I would Say I am averaging 2400. - 2500 Per week... my last three runs are 3 day 1300, 2 day 650, and 2 day 400... so that's 2300 in 7 days.
