    I was invited to a friends famliy dinner party,where i found,out later the punch was marijuana tea.something i would of never tryed. Knowing i was looking for a job.Any way a week later i went in for a job interview,i took a dot drug test .i did,nt think anything about it, so happy to start work.after being out 45 days.4 days later i got a call from the doctor telling me he found thc and i failed the test.i said it must be some mix up,he said no they split tested and they both came back marijuana.i called eveyone i could no one could hp me.i had to turn my license in for 30 day go to pay to go to class,it,s been i mess.my wife and i never did drugs,and every blue moon well had a glass or 2 of dinner wine. We,re god fearing people ,and for this to happen gods got a plan.since then i have not been able to get a job any where.before this i was not a patient man,but i,m learning.can anyone give me any advice,or know any one that would hire me,i,ve never ever failed a drug test or physical i don,t do drugs and don,t drink i,m in the Charlotte,nc area.thanks.

    The problem is that he was refused employment due to a positive test. Those must be kept for 5 years, per the regulations. There are ways to still get in the industry, but it's going to take a bit more than just making sure he's clean.

    Take your so called friends to court and sue the hell out of them if you knew nothing about their special punch.Pretty sure that is a easy win in most states.

    That is so terrible. It's like we always told our kids, if you have someone in the car and they have drugs you will be responsible for it. For someone to be a friend and pull something like that is low, unless you knew they led a bohemian lifestyle.


    God does have different plans, so I hope something else even better comes along for you soon if you can't get on with any of the companies mentioned. I wonder about some of the smaller local companies that deliver janitorial products; not saying they don't do drug tests.

    I wonder if you payed to have another test done out of your own pocket and then challenged the original test, or if you can do that since they did a split test. It is a shame for someone with your years experience to get wiped out like this. I think I would really stay away from friends like that, you can't tell me they didn't think or know that you cannot have drugs in your system and be a truck driver and they should have warned you that drugs would be on the agenda; just think if someone had a reaction to something like that medically.

    Try this company; can't think of another, unless you can find an 0/0 that does containers and doesn't go to ports, because you need a TWIC for port entry.

    Try courier services; check yellow pages. If you drive a pickup & have a shell over the bed, you can lease on to a courier service.
