Well I was traveling west on I-20 out of Georgia. Got into the construction by the scale in Alabama. And bingo. Got lit up. Now mind you this was 10:45 pm on a Sunday night. Anyways I ended up receiving a level 2 inspection. Whatever that is. Anyway. I passed with NO violations. Now the officer told me to fax or mail the paperwork in and it would reflect on my CSA score. I faxed the paper over 2 nights ago or so. And I checked my Company Snapshot on fmcsa website and it doesn't reflect that I was even pulled over or anything!!! Sooo my question is how long will it take for them to apply this? I would really like to see the inspection posted so I can maybe finally get a satisfactory rating. Since it states I hhave one for a rating. Also how do I find what my actually numerical score is? Do I have to pay to find that out?
First DOT inspection as an o/o

i believe it takes 30 days to post but dont quote me

SMS is updated around the 5-6th for the previous month. One inspection will not show a numerical score. Inspections have nothing to do with a satisfactory rating, that is a compliance review audit.
-
Passing an inspection does show up as a positive thing, even if it is just a paperwork check, as long as the inspecting officer submits it.
-
be patient kee mo sabi. it will show. eventually.
-
Level 2 is driver, paperwork, and walk-around look at the equipment. Here's the definitions.
To add to what wichris says (CSA vs SMS): if you meant the detail CSA charts, your profile will remain "inconclusive" until you have enough inspections (good or bad) for a meaningful statistic against similar carriers.
PS: Shoulda left earlier LOL. Went thru there Sunday morning and got a green on the pre-pass and the closed sign was lit. -
I had my first one Oct 5. It took about a month to show up on the website. I just checked today and it is there. The last time I checked it was maybe 2 weeks ago and it wasn't there. No big deal.

And don't be surprised if it takes longer. Some states update monthly and will even hold clean inspections to see if there is a challenge before submitting it. I have had them show in less than 30-days and others almost 3-months after.
But as stated, it will only show as a clean inspection and no CSA score.
And congrats on the clean inspection. You going to give yourself a $50 bonus? -
Meh. They picked me out rolling down the road. Scale was all locked up. Matter of fact the scale was closed with barriers in front of it. So couldn't avoid it.

And why not a CSA score? I mean if in fact I pass I should get something. If I don't pass they sure do tack on the points. Wtf??!!! And no. The guy that owns my truck is a real cheapskate. Lol. No 50 bucks for me.
