I hauled mail for about a year......it sucked!
I never had a DOT man hold me up at all.
It was the schedule and slip seating that got to me.Hardly any sleep and run your 70 and then some,34 reset and go again.
A never ending cycle.
It paid good but the trucks were worn out and never got in the shop unless it died.
The schedule the US Postal Service puts on those loads is insane.
Your 10 hour break started as soon as you hit the yard.
By the time i drove home, ate and showered they were calling about my next run.
I averaged 6 hours sleep between runs if i was lucky.NDBADLANDS and flyingmusician Thank this. -
Those are bandages from getting declawed. That's why he looks a little bummed out in the pic.chompi Thanks this.

ok, shoot me
but why would you take the claws off a cat? they need that to catch mice, climb and do what cats normally doLilbit Thanks this. -
Well, there's house cats and outside cats and this cat is a house cat, so he doesn't need front claws for protection. When you leave the front claws on a house cat, you soon have a house full of destruction. They can destroy a house very quickly.

Never heard of a scratching post? Hope for its sake it never gets out, goner.
-
Yeah, we've done the scratching post thing, but kids love to tease and play with the cats and they can get all scratched up in the process.
-
solution: maim the cat
just so you know, we have always had cats
never maimed one -
I don't make any decisions about the cats other than they won't be doing their business anywhere near where i am and where they do their business will be tended to regularly.
In this case, the cat could accept the declawing along with a loving home or face ceasing to exist by the proper authorities. Which do you think is the better deal? I personally have no need for cats, but others do so I accept that as we all have different needs that make us unique. -
My wife always had house cats and would raise them from kittens and get them declawed later. The latest kitten was a rescue from the shelter. It was found in an abandoned house and already knew how to hunt for food . She decided not to keep this one exclusively inside. It has actually learned to ring a bell on the door to go outside. It has killed a couple of squirrels and brought them to us. I like this one better than the house cats.
Truckinchic Thanks this.
