They also have hills. I'm a prairie boy. I don't even know what tire chains are.
SHC Thanks this. -
Mac is my alltime favorite...I used to pull a 48' Mac with super singles and the rear axle about 4 feet from the bumper...boy was that the most maneuverable spread axle. Very very light also, but I suspect it was not setup for coils, like most of the others I dragged around. Could legally yank a 51,400 lb load with that behind a shortnose Pete.
-
Even their lightest frames could handle coils, but I'm unsure if they needed a coil package.

Autocar, the cost of a revolution in Ontario is almost 3-4000 more than Reitnouer and MAC. It might be a good trailer but nothing which justifies that big a cost diff IMO.
-
What would be the empty weight of a Maximiser with super singles any idea?
-
Sounds like a provincial rip-off to me.
-
Don;t know about that but i got the quote direct from the fontaine sales guy in AL obviously there's commission included for the local dealer but i still think the diff in price is a bit steep.
-
As I don't go to Ontario, Canada, only Ontario, Oregon (the home of Mister Potato Head), I have no idea why the price difference. I know I can buy a comparable Fontaine, here in the states, for less than a MAC or Reitenour. It doesn't hurt matters any that I can also buy the Fontaine straight from the factory, in Haleyville, for 5 to 6 thousand dollars less than the same trailer would cost me, from one of their dealers.
