How many companies with terminals in Milton are decent to work for? I notice Arnold Bros has a terminal here?

retired soldier: As a fresh driver ( do you have your license?) you question should be: Will they hire a new driver? Not many will.

And that is why I am asking...
Was at a very informative info night in Ayr last week at Tri-County School and they had some companys present... answering questions about their respective businesses and the industry as a whole. These companies will hire new drivers as long as they have trained under certain reputable training establishments. As this could be my potential second career, I will research everything I can before I take the plunge, so I dont step on any IED's so to speak.

Retired Soldier, don't be focused on who has a terminal in town but rather who has freight in town or the general vicinity. Just because a carrier has a terminal may not make them a good mix or employer for you. That being said you're in a great part of the world so any carrier that hires new drivers should be interested in you.

    Good luck to you.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the fleets are SELF nominated. The best way to get info on a carrier is from other drivers. All of those best manged companies and top fleet awards are just self promotion. Just look at some of the carriers on that list! But thanks anyway. Maybe one of the Caravan drivers will reply.
