That is why they have regulations for that hell if every truck driver had Narcotics no one would be driving

For what it's worth, my younger brother is a Missouri Highway patrolman and DOT officer. I posed the question to him and his response was:
You can have any drug made in the cab of your truck, so long as it's in the original traceable pharmacy dispensary (bottle) with your name, prescription number and authorizing doctor's information. In addition, you must have a copy of the prescription from that doctor on your person at all times. I suggest it is tucked in with your CDL and Med card.
If any such drug is found in your truck (and you have the required prescription and in the original bottle), you will likely be subject to an immediate drug test.

Can a professional truck driver, who drives the 18 wheelers, have nutritional supplements in his or her truck? By nutritional supplements, I mean vitamins, minerals, and various herbal supplements and herbal teas? Do all teas have to be decaffeinated?

There are no restrictions on non prescribed drugs so long as they don't have an element that will cause a positive drug screen. An example of this would be some cold remedies that have euphedra. there isn't any restriction on caffeine. Trucking would shut down without caffinated coffee!

Thank you for your responses. The whole "not allowed in the truck" is BS. My wife is on prescriptions I cannot take, she has them in her bottles with her name on them. That completely nulifies that stupid blanket statement.
