And THAT is why I want to get in a truck. Just me and the road. If i dont want to talk to anyone, I dont have to talk to anyone. Im a people person, but I am so sick and tired of having to tear down walls to get someone to buy something.

I know the checks wont be the same every week, but at least I will get PAID every week. I have gone two pay periods now with nothing. Simply because of the Christmas season and no one is buying cars (when i say nothing, I mean very little). Can i make more money in sales? Heck yeah! Some sales pros make more than doctors! Is making that money worth the hassles and the headaches that come with it? NOPE.

I guess I just need a change. need to let my wife stew "us" over in her own mind in her own time, and maybe I can do some thinking too. Thinking and getting closer to God. It is weird, but I feel best when im driving. I think more. I rationalize my life more. Driving is good for me.

Best of luck to you. I hope you and your wife work it out but, if not, it'll be easier to be on the road and see your little one when you're home than being home all the time and not able to see her every day.

If your type 2 diabetes is getting better with the weight loss, you might want to try to get some professional advice about eating, etc., and see if you can keep it at normal for the rest of your life. My ex-mother-in-law had type 2 diabetes and it is now completely controlled with diet. Basically, she doesn't have it any more.

Be sure to pack lots of good food to take with you so you eat well on the road. Buy a cooler.

Best of luck to you. My hubby also went into trucking to get out of selling and he MUCH prefers it. It has its ups and downs but selling just sucks if you're not "into" it and he never was. He's much happier now.

I am going to assume so. I would think they would let me train closest to home, right? I will talk to the recruiter first thing tomorrow morning and will find out then, I suppose. Im nervous and excited. I just want to do this, ya know?

I am thinking the same thing. It will KILL me not to be able to see her if I were here all the time. If Im on the road, im going to miss her dearly, but there will be nothing I can do about that then.

I USED to be into it. I used to sell my tail off and still can, but my heart isnt in the job any longer. Im just so tired of dealing with people and having to kiss their butts just to make a dollar. And Im tired of being broke because of it. Driving will give me the opportunity to make some money and stash it in the bank and maybe save enough to be secure. Get a new house and a new car. My wife will be living with her parents and Ill be on the road (hopefully) so we will have NO bills. My car is paid for now and we were renting so that takes a LOT of pressure off of both of us if I can get this going!

I just hope that my numbers STAY normal. Im very pleased with them, even if they ARE a little above normal. 150-172 range. That beats the heck out of over 400 which i have been at times before i started watching it a bit better and having marriage problems and not eating...I have actually lost about 25 pounds in the past few weeks...lol.
