A headlight burned out on my 2010 volvo. I thought this would be a good time to upgrade to HI bulbs since the stock setup is so bad.
But all I have found at local truck stops is the brand called Xtravision models 9006 and 9005. What is in my truck currently is H11.
It looks like one of those models will be a physical match replacement.
Has anyone else upgraded to High Intensity bulbs to help light up the road?

They make a h11 , almost positive . May need to get to a advance or like store. Never touch the glass part of the bulb ! Oil from you skin will cause it to blow quickly! Carry t spare their life is short, can see much better just short life. You will like them !
As a side note truck lite is working on a line of led headlights! Ran prototypes for them in my cascadia ! Super brite , and clean white light! No blue or green tint to anything! Be a freightliner option sometime in first quarter 2013 on 2014 year models. Projected 12 year bulb life !?! Love them! They replaced prototypes with production model few weeks back. Freightliner working on software glitch , computer shows them as a short , too little draw ? Look super cool ! -
More expensive bulbs do not last very long. Buy the cheaper version. If you want brighter, consider an HID conversion.

I have PIAA H11 bulbs and they make a big difference.

I bought the second to brightest version at a local auto parts store. They claimed something like 100 hours, which is a lot for a personal vehicle, but a month or less in a semi!!!
But they have a one year warranty!

I run a 780 with PIAA H11 lamps too and they do make a difference to the standard Volvo lamp, cost about $100 Canadian a pair
