Gazoo, I am looking to replace my POS Columbia cluster with a full gauge Century style as well. Can you describe the plug that is required, or post a pic? Thanks...

What I found out is the plug needed is for the controls to change the screens. If you pull the panel above the HVAC controls you will see that the harness and the plug is there, even on the Columbia. You might have to get someone to reflash the PCM or you may not. I have not tried this yet, but I am still looking into it.

That's what I figured, because the main wiring harness plugs are the same for both on the main dash. I called myself looking for the plug last night but couldn't find it. Do you know what it looks like, is it something like a little square or rectangle 6 or 8 pin? My luck my Columbia doesn't have it, but I really would like to find out before buying a cluster. I would think they used the same wiring harness on all of them though...

Oh, btw, mine is an '01 with a C-15 CAT, not a Detroit. I wonder if all the extra gauge sensors are already there and connected or need to be added?

2 thin flat plugs, behind the switch panel, not the cluster.

    KEWL!! :biggrin_25514:

You've been a big help. Did yours have 4, mine has two sets as you can see. I'm assuming there is some sort of additional harness that plugs into these that would be needed.

I figured they probably used the same wiring harness for most of these bodies. I wonder about the ODO though, does it pull that off the ECU or is it in the dash? Probably the ECU...

Do you know if there is an additional harness to plug into those connectors? I know they won't plug directly into the dash as is...

Look at the back of the gauge cluster control module, the thing that you use to select between the different screens, that is what the harness plugs into to. If you haven't bought one yet, then you won't know what I am talking about.

I don't have one in my hands yet, but I'm looking at a pic of the back and the connected coming off the control strip looks to me like it's a two row 8 pin rectangular plug, nothing like the ones in my wiring harness. I'm wondering if there is another harness that goes between them.
