How about that 401k plan that you guys have? Is it percentage match or profit sharing type contribution?

Im thinking about working for MBM or McLane in WI (from what I understand they're the same company now but they still operate separately) .. I live closer to McLane but I'd work for MBM too :)

Seen a lot of day cabs goin through Dallas area.. Don't know if they're out of Lewisville or Fort worth center though. But being home every night would be nice!! Also, on the website It says average anual earnings after first year in Ft. Worth 67000, and Lewisville 71000. Thoughts BigR??

I work at MBM now for several months with no complaints. Home every night with Wed and Thursday off each week. I deliver to Jack in the Box, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Denny's. Out the back with a lift and power jack to the doors. At 56 it would be hard to go down a ramp so I'm glad it's not as bad as it could be. The money is real. I average $1500 per week this year. Most DC's run the same way and up here in Seattle, I see trucks across the street from my deliveries from Manteca CA., Denver and other DC's. In the Bay Area they deliver to Burger King and Carl's Jr. Lot's of work and if you like miles you can get them. I find that the daily routes due to CPM, Stops, Pieces, and overtime you can make as much if you want to be home more often. WHen you do have a lay-over you can stay in a motel to be more comfortable. They say one night in the truck and next night in a motel but I've never seen anyone getting talked to about it. If you do sleep in the truck they pay you $20 for your ten. Good luck to you with your decision.

Joe you have it made! That's similar to what I do now back up to docks or liftgate the pallets down and roll them out with a power jack.. So I'm hoping the center I'm applying to is similar that would be nice. I do see the day cabs and lots of liftgates . If no power jack no biggie as I'm pretty young and don't mind to work for my money. If I'm making 1200 plus a week you won't hear any complaints from me I will use a ramp and dolly!! So they do pay overtime? How does that work?

Overtime is paid after 40 hours in this state. So I average 56 hours in a five day week with 16 hours overtime at $27.81 and hour. Work's out well.

I've been with MBM for a little over a month now and I'm doing good at it.. My gross pay for my first three weeks was $3967.14, mind you I'm paid at 85% of full scale. We make 90% of full scale after 30 days so I'm going to see a raise on my next paycheck. The money is definetly there, the work is physical but it isn't what I would consider back-breaking.. So far my workweeks have been 2-day routes (mon-tues and fri-sat) and a one-day route on either tuesday or wednesday.

I dont know anything about the Fullerton terminal but I would say overall MBM is a good company to work for. My advice to you is if you're thinking about applying, apply sooner than later because it is a relatively long application process.
