Just got to ellenwood to relay my load. This place is jam packed to capacity. I had to park all kinds of crazy just to get between two oddball bobtails.
Gonna be here till Friday. I'll most likely spend my Thanksgiving at applebees or somewhere of the like. If I could afford it id get tanked then buy myself a hotel room, god knows I need a drink after my hometime.

After delivering ceiling to AL & MS, picked up a relay in Birmingham, AL yesterday: 6 skid steer loaders (like Bobcats but a different brand) without the buckets. There are 12 chains and 24 ratchet binders on this load.
Going to near Tucson, AZ; was originally supposed to deliver Monday and was thinking layover & reset, but FM calls yesterday and asks if I have enough hours to deliver Friday. Just barely - so I have been jamming hard & not wasting any time.
Now at the P-lot in Odessa, TX with 650+ miles to go. If no traffic issues, should be okay to make it there tomorrow evening.Meltom Thanks this. -
I had mine for a year pulling flat for Roehl and never needed it, it cost around $125 and took two trips to Albany for me, 160 mile round trip. First trip is for fingerprints second was to pick up the card. I was running both coasts and everywhere in between, so if I didn't need it I am not sure how many people have used thiers.

works well for me that way

Yea that's what I was thinking but ik we deliver a lot to ports on flatbed so I was just thinking as a maybe you kno

I've never needed a twic. I haven't got one because I don't want to be fingerprinted.
Picked up a relay in Gary this morning and delivered it in Georgetown, KY. Came over to Ghent for a preload. Got that all hooked up now I'm sitting outside waiting to leave in the morning. Supposed to pick someone up in Gary and bring them to Marshfield and relay my load there on Friday. -
First, my Rant!!!
Since when is a computer a replacement for a driver? I am tired of the stupid, annoying, Critical Events! I got another one on Tuesday! 18 MPH turning onto an ON RAMP and "Stability Control Event!" Talked to FM and he says, your going to fast! WTF? Too fast? The first 3 or 4 I got I was doing 12 mph, last few have been 16 MPH and now 18 MPH. So all he can say is I am going to fast when making turns? Then has the nerve to make me feel like if I get another one its going to be an issue. If the ##### computer wants to drive the truck then he can have it drive. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!
One a month almost every month. So tell me, if I haven't changed my driving habits and I make turns everyday, why don't I get one EVERYDAY???
FRUSTRATED is not a big enough word to tell how I feel about the friggin computer running my truck.
Second, At home!!!! YAY, sat for 18 hours in Joplin, MO on Monday before getting a load from ARKANSAS at 11AM Tuesday. Picked it up at 5PM and then run one of the dumbest routes I have gotten from Roehl in a while. AR-92 and US-65 North out of Arkansas. I don't recommend either of these roads EVER!!!! I was in 8th or 9th gear for most of the time. Climbing hills in 7th WAY TOO MUCH! And to add injury to insult, the route was 20 miles shorter, but an hour longer than heading over to I-540 and going North. Roehl, pennywise and pound foolish!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my TTR friends!!! -
Dropped my truck and loaded trailer there at 1900 tonight. IT WAS PACKED!!!!!

The only thing I know we use it for is Baltimore and I have one and never been there yet, (Sent once, but the hurricane ended that run) For Roehl, it's not necessarily the best investment. If you move to another company that really goes to ports then it would be more advantageous.

Port of Indiana doesn't need a TWIC! The first 2 times I went all I did was show my DL and that was it.... as I passed by. Once I got my TWIC, only been there once. Go figure!
