Its not an out of service violation for bobtailing to Walmart off duty. I would just explain this to your next employer. I hate to see my score. I know I have a bunch of junk on it but I'll never lose a wink of sleep over it. I'm told your first violation is 3x the points. I think a good inspection will help your score if you get inspected someday soon.

That's it added up. It's a 5 point violation for log book not current. Plus the 2 for OOS.
-
It has nothing to do whether it's your first or tenth violation. The multiplier or compounder value (3x) goes down each year on the anniversary date of the conviction.rodknocker Thanks this.

Just seemed on the low side.
Last one I saw on our company for OOS was around 42 points. -
I thought so to but I checked.
General form and manner =2
Not current =5
No 7 days prior =5
Driving over 11 hrs =7
Driving over 14 hrs =7
Usually the points add up quick because 1 violation follows the other.Last edited: Nov 23, 2012

The way you stated it appears that you were using it as a personal car, not in interstate commerce. I would do a Data Q's protest and see what happens.
