Awesome...I did talk on 6 once, but there was no skip, and I was in Beech Grove Indiana....had a stock 4 watt Cobra radio and a Wilson 1000 on the roof...I heard a few locals on 6 (not distorted sounding either, surprisingly) so I jumped in. They acknowledged me but I don't think they appreciated me as I didn't sound African American.

I know we are talking about 11 meters but I was on 10 meters this past weekend and made contacts with Puerto Rico and Rio De Janerio. I also made some contacts with some folks in Arizone and California.

Should be able to with a 4-pill...That's all I run in my Toyota Tacoma, and make as many contacts on channel 28 with it, as I do with my 16 pill in my Suburban!

What kind of antenna are you using? Trick is in the antenna...and tuning and placement...antenna is everything.

102 whip mounted on the tool box in the front of the bed...SWR is like 1.2 over just about all the children's band and up into 10m..

ETA I was replying from my phone earlier, kinda hard..

When I'm down in your area or Florida I've talked all over the states, Canada, and South America with a X Force 4 pill...Contacts are harder from the northeast when mobile the terrain has a lot to do with that I'd guess..

BTW this is the same Big Mike that used to chat with you on www.cbradioforum.com a few years ago..
