It does depend on where you are at. If its a beer load. You won't get it. Suggestion is if you are not loaded/unloaded or being loaded/unloaded send a message to your disp with your arrival time and time you got into a door and just say you are curious about detention pay. But it has to be a minimum of 2 hours of a set appt time. Like Samurai said it has to be like a 0800 to 0800. I've had to ask for detention pay twice. Once at quad graphics. I was there for 15 1/2 hours, they gave me 13 1/2 of detention and then once at St Bernard soap. I was there 7 hours and the gave me 4.

 

Thanks everyone for your responses. Great idea to check the exhaust on the smoke issue ill check it in the day light tomorrow. I do think I may have turned the ignition key on a little early this morning. But that doesn't explain the check engine light right? My appointment was 0800 I arrived 0750 and was in dock at 0800 left dock at 1330 eastern. I asked whoevers watching opeys board for detention pay. Picked up a load of bricks in aiken ga. Headed to dalton, wish I could've gotten it there tonight but 15 minutes left on my 14 and only drove 305 miles today. Hope I don't get stuck in cartersville this weekend going to stop there for fuel then head to dalton and hit ready ad after I drop haha. Anyone know if ill pick up a empty at that brick place or have to bobtail to cartersville to get one?

 

Side topic...do any of you guys know the width of the top shelf of the t2's? I'm at the store and I found a microwave I like but it's 19.2 wide and I need to know if that's too big. Thanks!

Dead headed 300 miles down to GA Pacific in Cedar Springs GA. Headed to Mount Olive Illinios for Wednesday definately want to drop early considering its only 730 miles. Would be nice to get it on this weeks check. Will have to call GA pacific and see if I can unload early. Hope so. By far my longest deadhead so far.

 

Ran out of time at GA Pacific sleeping in a big lot near the scales for inbound trucks. Hope I don't get kicked outta here. The security guard I called said he wouldn't bother me. We will see. If he does I'm screwed.
