as per the rules.
all time spent at the shipper or receiver or property of any motor carrier is to be logged ON DUTY.
there are quite a few threads over in the regulations forum with actual postings of the regs.
i don't think ANY of us actually follow that rule though.

Your still misinterpreting the rules.
-
-
(1) All time at a plant, terminal, facility, or other property of a motor carrier or shipper, or on any public property, waiting to be dispatched, unless the driver has been relieved from duty by the motor carrier;
If you are not required to load/unload or supervisor, you are relieved of duty by your carrier. Why do people have a hard time understanding that? -
but your not relieved of duty while your at a shipper. even though your getting unloaded you cant just leave the truck when its at the shipper.
-
You can go into sleeper.....
-
well according to the rules your not supposed too.. i mean im not trying to be rude or be a ######## im just trying to findout the for sure rule on this. so hope im not coming off rudely
-
Y'all go ahead and waste 2-10 hours a day waiting on slow lumpers. Imma be running... Check-in, park, open doors, bump: on-duty. Sleeping: Sleeper. Check out and leave: on duty. Driving: Driving.
-
i decided to not wait on lumpers and bumping docks and switched to flatbedding. not sure how it will go but tired of everyplace i go to having everyone be rude. at least with flats the people getting the freight are happy to see it
-
you're required to be ON DUTY unless releived.
