only a safety manager would advocate a "strict no uturn" policy
in the real world, you can wind up in worse condition unless you make that uturn
and i am sure everyone here can tell story upon story about some uturns you just HAVE to make -
you would drive 30miles instead of making a uturn?
i dont know why the comparison is hitting something, we all make uturns everyday without hitting anything -
Properly planned and executed u-turns are probably safer than a lane change or merge in rush-hour traffic.
