I was reported as abandoning equip by metropolitan although i was under dr care and had my truck picked up by a team driver. My dm told me that when i was able to come back to work i would have to p/u truck in bloomsburg pa. I had to resign my position due to seperation from wife and informed my dm that i was moving back to delaware from ohio. Dm stated that i would have to park in elkton md due to metropolitan not servicing delaware. I was cool with that and was going to p/u truckin bloomsburg on monday. I then was advised that my truck which by the way i passed going into pa on my way back to delaware was now in perrysburg,oh and i would have to go pick it up there when ? Dm about why was it in ohio when he knew i was in delaware and i was told i would have to come to bloomsburg to get it i was told he didn't tell me that. I called safety and was advised that i never came back from medical leave and b/c i didn't bring truck back to bloomsburg i therefore was absent w/o approval and b/c they had to send a driver to perrysburg to get truck i abandoned equipment. Mind you i lived in edgerton ohio not perrysburg ohio. Now i have had 4-5 companies refuse to hire me due to this and all i got from metro was oh well your prob not ours.
Beware metropolitan trucking

All you had to do was not leave them wondering what the hell was going on....LONG ENOUGH for them to come pick it up. It sounds like you didn't communicate your intentions very well.

Got to second this one! Way too much rambling on and big story, just accept responsibility and move on.
