See KatK I don't wanna come here and get corrected for trying to let people know where the closest major city to where we are is. I am corrected enough offline, I don't want to subject myself to any more than normal.

    paul_4lp and KatK Thank this.

Now that everybody's tummies are full and I give my 20 again. The couch.... well, actually moved to the sun room....
Canada? Is it gona be overtly confusing? Is the Garmin/Rand McNally gona help us. Will the QualCom give directions? Signs? Readable & understandable? Do we have to convert everything to the metric system? (It didn't take off in the US for a reason. ---- How far up till everything is in French? Ôui?
    And then there's the bonds?
And cell networks? Don't really wana pay INTERNATIONAL FEES waiting for FM to answer. Will the QualCom work up there?
See??? I'm/we are nervous. For good reason?
    Thanx in advance. ;-)

    Still camped out in Mass.
Did a mess of walking in circles around perimeter of truck stop.
Now watching PBS documentaries on the lead up of aircraft manufactures to the space race.
Prior to that, Norm Abrhamns, Master Carpenter. I feel that I can build a dining room table now.

    KatK Thanks this.

    Ok here goes

    -overly confusing? NO

-GPS Work? Rand McNally does ok but check a map too.

    -QualComm work? Yup

    -Signs readable? Yup but incase Overt=open Baree=Closed Sortie=exit Arret=Stop
all scale house signs are in French and English. Rule of thumb lights flashing means pull in

-Convert to Metric? Of course we are the only ones who don't use it. 1Kg=2.2Lbs. 1 Mi.=1.6 Km. 1Gal=3.8 liters

-Cell Phone? Yup but most companies charge $.50 per min voice $2 MB data. If you have straight talk your screwed your phone mostly won't work.

-Bonds? Unless your load originated in Mexico and is Headed straight to Canada odds are it is NOT bonded. If it is call Taylor Terminal for instructions but basically park truck, go inside to customs compound, get bond canceled/paperwork punched and your good to go.

-French speaking? Quebec, Ontario near immiediate Ottawa area/suburbs, parts of Manitoba & extreme south eastern New Brunswick. THEY ALL ALSO KNOW ENGLISH if under age 35 as that's the language used to teach high school. If they act like they don't speak English sure fire tests is say "Your shoe is untied/fly is down" if they check they speak English.

Nervous for good reason? NO, enjoy the scenery and keep off Ontario rt-407 it's tolled (near Toronto Metro area) Double check border crossing and paperwork on your way out. Try the pecan tarts they are great, their milk is better then ours too. Bring $10.75 for Customs user fee upon re-entry to U.S. Also bring a spare $40 for bridge tolls incase you go in or out a tolled bridge.

When you get to the customs booth shut off motor, DO NOT set air brakes, hand them paperwork, and answer their questions. It's a breeze nothing to stress over.

Runnin, KatK and paul_4lp Thank this.

I-85 in Georgia, Pilot at exit 41. Doing a 34 here and deliver on Monday near Atlanta. There are better places to do a 34 but my old finisher is coming this way so it seemd like a good location to meet. You all be safe, enjoy the leftovers, and the time off. Should be pretty busy for the next few weeks if history repeats.
