My dad has a radio he's giving me that needs repaired. It was dropped onto the ground and stopped working.
It's a Ranger RCI-6900 F150. Anywhere in particular that would be good to get this looked at? Also reading on this I understand it requires an amateur radio license to transmit on this?

IF you ever run East in PA on I80, you should stop by Bob's CB shop off the strattanville exit, he has done great work for me on all of the radios ive taken to him. He's not the friendliest or most talkative guy you'll ever meet but his work is top notch.

Its only legal use is on the Amateur bands, and for that, you do need an Amateur radio license.Treefork Thanks this.

You can send it to the guy I use. He is as good as they get and his rates are good. Nobody that has used him on here has been unsatisfied. PM me if you want his email address.

I've had my Ranger 2970DX in to the CB shop down in Salt Lake City behind the truck wash. He did a few mods and tuned it up, added an echo board and talk back. It's been serving me well for 9 years without a problem.

Thanks for the responses all. Missed catching up with him this weekend so I won't have it until probably closer to Christmas time.
