Yeah they said I couldn't deliver early. Oak grove Kentucky off the 86 at the pilot for a 34 hour restart. Kind of upset I can't deliver this tomorrow would be a solid 2500 mile week. Oh well win some lose some. Taking a 34 then heading to exit 27 I 55 Tuesday at the rest area to sleep for the night that will put me about 15 miles from delivery.

I have found that if you call its easier for them to say no. If you just show up a lot of the times you'll get unloaded early. You may have to wait a few hours but still earlier than your appointment time
Hegemeister Thanks this. -

Drove 635.6 miles today and still had 35 minutes left on the clock. Stopped 120 miles south of my morning delivery in Raleigh. Hell of a first day back from vacation.

So I was 20 hours into my 34 reset today when I received a message on the qualcomm. "Why aren't you moving toward east st louis to drop this load today?" I was instantly pissed. Because the weekend dispatchers had already told me I couldn't drop this load unbtil appointment time Wednesday. I explained the situation and the dispatcher I spoke to who I won't name apologized for the mistake of someone else. I accepted his apology because that's class right there to me. He knew I got the short end of the stick. I left and dropped in the east st louis drop yard. I am now at cummins in downtown st louis due to blowing white smoke, losing coolant at a rapid rate and check engine light on and off. I've been adding coolant to this truck nearly everyday. It drops off the site glass after a days work. One thing I noticed and told the mechanic here is that it seems as if the truck is doing better at keeping coolant in warmer areas such as georgia. I came up to kentucky and it dropped again big time. Staying in a hotel tonight in Pontoon illiniois.

I must admit I'm fighting the urge to take a cab to the local casino and play poker or blackjack. I've been fascinated with numbers since being a small child and I've learned to count cards up to six decks with a full table in play. I've supplemented my income with poker and blackjack while not deployed overseas to the ammount between 9-11k a year after taxes I honestly paid. I've been trying to slow down my degenerism. But payday tomorrow isn't helping this any. I've already fought it once this week by parking in Oak Grove Kentucky when I could've got further and went to Metropolis illiniois and gambled. Daily struggles of a degenerate who's in it more for math than monetary value.

That is what you call "truckin'".

Remind me not to play poker with you anymore

There's a guy that I see at Trenton all the time asking people to play poker. Seems like a ####y fella but I think you could have some fun playing there and not lose too much money.
