Well omaha gave my load away. Too bad I was already loaded by the time I found out I didn't have that dispatch. Guess the other guy has to wait for them to get him another load. If they would have told me before hand things might have gone different but like Efon had said before. Communication doesn't exist here. Have a good night everyone. Stay safe out their.

I'm in truck 402 (Peterbilt) and I have trailer R02021. My gross when I scaled out this load was 72,500. The load was 37k in the box according to the bills from tyson. The load confirmation says 43,738. That's a difference of 6,738. Add that to my gross and I should be at 79,238. We'll see if I'm under gross, and if I am, if I can get it legal. It should be interesting.
Communication is the one thing I've found to be difficult here so far. Sometimes that's great, like when you don't want to be bothered while you're running down the road and just rolling along. Its not so great when you have a problem that needs to be fixed. If they had more fleet managers, it would be less of an issue, but they are trying to remain profitable, so I understand the business decision. So far it hasn't been anything I can't deal with.

Their profit has been no less the 1.5 mil for a few months now so they can get more FM's. They just chose not to as they are wanting to get to 2 mil a month profit. Now I am not ######## here just pointing out what is what. It is nice that they don't bother you when you are driving but when you have a problem they do need to move forward on fixing that problem instead of doing nothing.

I fully agree that a better system is needed for dealing with issues as they arise. I'm willing to guess most of us, if not all, would agree. The real question is how do we change it? Will it change? I am of the strong opinion that not one person alone can make changes that work. No one will ever make everyone happy. I'm just the new guy, and the biggest problem I've had with communication is that I'm not sure some times if I'm doing the right thing or not. I assume I am since I'm not getting calls or messages telling me I've messed up, and I basically know my job and do it, but it would be nice to know. It seems like they are trying so hard not to run like a traditional trucking company that it is hurting in some areas, and helping in others. Like I said, I'm a new guy and I don't really know how it has improved or gotten worse. All I know is what I've seen so far. By the way, where did you get those numbers. I'm not questioning them, I just didn't know they company's financial health was public knowledge. Most aren't unless they are publicly traded.

did mean to get you upset. I was agreeing with what you posted before. The numbers I posted came from the office. It was let know last spring. I beleave others on here can agree with that. This company is like any other. They are here to make money. But they are moving to fast with out fixing the issues they have first. Most of the issues fall on communication. If you send in a msg saying that you are held up getting unloaded and will be late to pick up next load. The answer should be take the load off him but don't tell him. The numbers was just to give you 1 reason why they haven't hired a 4th or 5th FM. Once again I wasn't ranting I was stating a point.

Communication is a key issue here along with organization. Certain people aren't to good at communicating or multitasking which then causes a trickle down effect onto the driver. I'm glad our freight lanes have increased. These are some of the same accounts FRE had prior and lost due to poor planning and driver neglect. FRE is having some more growing pains and hopefully will become stronger in the end.

You didn't upset me at all. I think most of us here want the same thing, to make this company a great place to work and to be a home, so we can hang our hat and not have to keep searching for the promised land. I'm not sure how to fix the issues, I just hope the guys at the top keep wanting to move forward. Every one makes mistakes. A company is just a large group of people with a common goal, making money for everyone. We have the same goal as management, or else we wouldn't be driving otr. Either way, I'm actually happy here, but I'd always like to see things get better.

I'm just waiting to see what chaos comes about during the week of Christmas considering over half the fleet is expecting to be home. I'm sure that will be a lot of swapping and dropping to get people to their places and loads to their destinations. Ah, the joys of the holidays being OTR.

Well I'm one of the few who elected to be home for thanksgiving instead of christmas. I'm sure I'll be swapping with someone to get them home and/or doing a lot of sitting, but it was my choice.
