new to otr but not new to trucking was trash hauling before this and that was run ur balls off then run some more 16-20 hour days are the norm if u want to make money now that i'm otr flatbed it's deffiantly a slower pace but its not boring in the least. i drive an ungoverned pete 379 she looks good when im driving i set the cruise to 72 crank the tunes...metallica never gets old btw haha or i usually end up finding someone to run with and bs with them on the cb for hours at a time.

when i get parked for my 34 if the weather is nice i break out the aluminum polish or spray wax and a couple rags and go to town. a couple weeks ago i spent 8 hours hand polishing the truck alone and before some of you guys say it yes i know my ride is a company ride but i take great pride in it and i like to ride in style during the week after i get done for the day i run in to the t/s grab a bite to eat shower and hit the sack.

so i can honestly say i'm pretty much never bored. but thanx to this thread i am gonna take the advice of someone on here and try and learn german something i've always wanted to learn thanx for the idea.

I was bored sometimes, but not often. Everyone has "one of those days" now and then, no matter what job you do. Mostly, I loved it. I will likely be out there doing it again in the future.

I happen to view my job as the most boring job I can think of. I work an 8hr shift waiting for equipment to break/malfunction so I can fix it. Problem is that stuff rarely breaks. In my 5 months doing it, I have had to fix a problem 3 or 4 times.

Pays ridiculously well for what it is but still pretty boring.

    NOPE.

If you are bored, wake the hell up. You are a accident waiting to happen.

What I did was go play video games at the truckstop a few minutes. Playing at trucking. =) (Or golf)

Spring is the best season. The gals are easy on the eyes for the most part.
