You say you cant get 2 drivers to agree? Well, I agree with you. Let's do this! follow me on twitter @devilman1222 & use #truckerstrike we will get this going. I have ideas, im not going to say now bc I dodnt need inhouse too many chiefs not enough indians kind of discussion. Ive been doing this for 14 years. Obama will pass the dream act & if we dont act now, any chance of success is lost to millions of illegal immagrants flooding DMV to get a CDL & work for peanuts.

I'd say the George washington bridge would be a Great Place to start & get attention, cars can take lower level so all you need is a few drivers to safely take a shuttle bus & PEACEFULLY demonstrate as not to cause a "terroristic enviornment" theres plents of room off to the side where shuttlebusses go & a sidewalk. Media is key. Let me know when. I will go any day on an hr notice

There are a few drivers who have posted here who say it can't be done, they must be the corporate spies or brown noses. So be carefull about what you say. Some are union busters too paid for by the corporations to talk down on a strike or any type of protest.
I will see you on twitter tonight or tomorrow this site seems to be flushed with those who like living as a flunky for their corporate masters :(

I am no flunky...and I am certainly not a corporate spie or shill. I simply point out the possible consequences of a strike. Gods know if I thought a strike would actually be effective to prevent the ENDLESS abuses being heaped upon drivers by bottom feeder carriers and increased government regulation, I'd be the first on the line waving my sign and chanting along.

The fact is that truckers are considered as less than second class citizens by our government, our carriers, and the general public. We're dangerous, we're slow, and we interfere with Joe Schmuckhole from speeding along to his ever-so-critical hair appointment or tee-off time. And we are ever-so-easily replaced with freakin' foriegners who would be happy to do our jobs for less than half the pay.

The only answer I can offer is to get out while the getting is good. Unfortunately, not everyone is in a position to do so, and for those I say scrape and dig until you find one of the increasingly rare decent outfits to drive for, and save all your pennies so you can retire as early as possible....or at least survive while you look for another job when your company folds or decides to replace you with Juan Rodrigueaz (who's only had his CDL for a week, but will driver for $.10/mile or less).

Yes. There are those that are just a Shill for the status quo. I will not except anything that is in line with the status quo. This industry NEEDS an overhaul. My problem is the companies, safety depts, & even OOIDA, yes, OOIDA are just a shill for the status quo. My appetite for change cannot be filled by throwing me a bone. Its not about me. Its like brsims says: we are second rate citizens in our own country. The in house arguing needs to stop. Obama WILL pass the dream act & you will not have the luxery of sitting on the sidelines anymore, so get in the game now, or we will be ushered out of the stadium within 2 years. Twitter is the best vehicle for this NOW because so many drivers have twitter capable devices. Follow me @devilman1222 & lets start tweeting #truckerstrike

the when & where can come later. Once you start tweeting #truckerstrike you already start getting people together. Then relationships, groups & meeting can form from that. Join me & lets tell middle management where to shove it!

Oh boy, here we go. Is this the start of our "spring"? Top-down, bottom-up, inside-out. These people are being used, big time to get the entire country in a total state of chaos.
