playamwj12: Here is what I would do if I was a good card counter like you. I would save up $5000, and go on the road to casinos. If the $225 you made was at the $10 tables, I would play the $100 tables, and the win would have been $2250. I'd maybe only play two days per week. That's nearly a quarter million dollars income per year. It would sure beat trucking.

Without going into detail. I seperate my finances like this: bills, rainy day, bankroll, and prosper. I've been putting $400 monthly into prosper.com for over two years now investing in personal loans. I also have a bank roll kept in a seperate account that exceeds the ammount you stated. I would be playing professionally but I have an addictive personality when it comes to gambling and I don't want to associate with others that have the same passion as me. Its a tough lifestyle with ups and downs, the cards aren't always in my favor. I absolutely love what I do trucking and if I can combine both every now and then that's perfect for me.

Kind of worried I messed up. I left cummins and was bobtailing on I55N when a Navajo truck started to take an exit and then jerked back in front of me and the two cars in front of me cutting us all off and narrowily missing the cement barrier with his trailer. I had to break hard even though I had my correctly needed distance and the qualcomm said a critical event was reported. I'm concerned but I honestly was being safe either way I messed up if they call asking I will be 100% honest as always.

call safety and explain. last time I had one I was bobtailing into Eden and locked the tandems up when I hit the pothole in the entrance. I sent a qcomm message to safety and never heard anything else about it. If it becomes a habitual thing they will definitely have something to say about it.

You will get a notice on the qcomm to call safety and talk to them about the hard braking. Don't call while driving. Just be honest and just say you went for the brakes harder than you should have. I had a hard braking while with my trainer in the rain, just went to hard for the brakes trying to stop for a light that went red quick. Also remember when bobtailing you don't have weight on your drives like you do with a trailer, don't go hard to the brakes or you can fishtail quick like.

Back at it after 10 days off, going to Lobo in NY. yippie. Coming off vaca sucks, trenton is a parking lot of people all coming back the past two days.

Thanks guys. I just sent mark in safety a message stating that as I was bobtailing from cummins on off duty drive I hit the brakes harder than I should have causing a critial event on my qualcomm. And explained that a truck started to exit then came back into my lane. And I ended the message stating I would try hard not to have happen again. Not to be silly or anything but does this effect my safety bonus?

no, this shouldn't affect your safety bonus. tickets, accidents, etc will take that awayLast edited: Nov 28, 2012

playamwj12: What you said about the gambling makes sense, and you seem to have a good handle on what you want to do with your time and money. As for the braking, I would be careful how I phrase things. You hit the brakes hard because it was necessary. The qualcom's critical event feature shouldn't be the judge of that. Would it be better to brake within qualcom parameters but strike another vehicle? Of course not.
MTownZ Thanks this. -
