O/O with own authority looking for options for work...

Ive had my authority since 07. I got away from trucking to be home with family more and run my remodeling company in Toledo, Ohio. Its time to go... Miss my piece of mind in my truck. People talk to d@$n much... Anyway, I suspended my authority and and just need to reinstate it with proper insurance/filings. Ive got 10k set aside and would rather buy a unit outright which means high miles. Im aware of the pitfalls associated with this. Im leaning toward running containers to get back going. Im looking for somthing I can clear 2500 to 3000 a week maybe, run 2 weeks out 4 days off. any suggestions?

 

Thanx Classix. Interesting... I hauled cars before and still have my trailer. I cant justify pulling 4 cars at 6 mpg, though. Car rates are in the toilet here lately and I aint goin to 7-11 for less than $2/mile. Like I said, my authority is in good shape. Are you talking steel, or...? Thought about a reefer but id have to rent a trailer to do that also. Wut can I get into w just a power unit drag and drop wise...?

 

Cars are good.... Real good if you do 6 or more at a time. However I dont have the right equiptment to make that $, hence the whole container thing for 6 mos. Hoping I can find a decent gig that can help me raise capital...

 

Does anyone kno about the oil boom in east Ohio?
