I am set up for orientation with them , will e-mail them now and tell then thanks but no thanks. They without me verbally telling them yes. They have e-mailed me all the arrangements minus the travel . and expect me there tomorrow 11-26-12.
I would tell them to KMA they start being disrespectful in orientation , get u and walk out. Been doin this since 1988 and won't tolerate their non-sense. Thank you , all I needed that , not that I was goin anyway , but thanks.

One other thing about orientation. I was told that it would be held in Charlotte, NC which is about 2.5hrs away. The day before I got an email telling me that they were no longer holding orientation there and I would have to go to Atlanta but they would get me a bus ticket.
Do not let what I or other drivers say or our experience with JBHunt turn you off from them. Just keep it in mind and enter any dealings with that company with your eyes wide open. Many drivers have been there for a number of years and like the company so they do work for some of them.

My Orienttion was held in East Brunswick NJ. I applied and got a local position on one of their DCS accounts and I am home daily with weekends off and gross over 1,000 WK. Orientation was 4 days long and wasn't that bad from what I remember.

Snowman and Sleeve, shame on you for posting your feelings after both of you known ( in your hearts) that this company would not be a good fit for yourselves. You both came into the situation with your eyes closed and have the nerve to talk trash about the company. You both need to get thicker skin as far as I'm concerned. You have a combined 45 years of trucking experience between you but fall prey to a recruiter working for a large company which you despise yet you went for it. I say again Shame on you.

Read my other posts on this company. I always give my experience with the company not impressions or what I have heard. It is what happened to me and if you don't like it then too bad. I fell prey to nothing and didn't really believe what I was told having dealt with recruiters from several major companies enough to know what you get told and what the actual reality is.
If you even read just my last post you will see I said that a number of drivers have been with them for years and it works for them.

How about shame on a company for having liars and underhanded recruiters working for them? This country has no integrity!

Integrity? Really? C'mon guys, I thought this was the big boys section. Are you all that nieve that someone that lies for a living is in the business of recruiting? Simply put, do your research before hiring on with ANY company. I've been screwed around with at another company myself but I just deal with it and learn from my experience. That's life.

"the poor mans need of a job"? "Open the books"? Why should they do that? If you don't like them then go to another company. No one is "entitled" to a job. Who are you, Eugene Debs?

    To Trucail,

I came into the (JBH ) situation believing that there had been A paradigm shift. That there was A variance in the customer base. What if the original dedicated account was not the scenario being discussed ? I have had Panther Expedited contact me singing the praises of the " New Improved Panther Expedited "; but I passed it by because it was not the type of work that I was looking for. In " legalese " the proverbial "reasonable person " may have had cause to believe AFTER A 2nd. solicitation from A recruiter , same company , same terminal, may have been made with A data base search that revealed the past contact, and the resultant rejection. After all , I had 2 recruiters from different companies inquire as to why I was fired by JBH. I had never worked for them, having only attended part of an orientation session, but they sure got to my DAC quick with erroneous information. Digging dry wells would not be one of my business tactics.Due diligence would have weeded out those already found wanting. I did not approach them , they called me . I did not portray them in A negative light until after the second incident. All of us here are aware that applications are tedious , time consuming tasks. Nothing wrong with the durability of my hide, and I scrupulously refrain from publishing anything that is not capable of being substantiated and verified; and I am not fond of some suit on A fishing trip playing fast and loose with my time.

Been waiting on an available truck for 2 weeks now and nothing becomes available. Jb hunt has just downsized the southwest division to 108 trucks. Time to quit. For a second time. Jb hunt got worse than the last time I was here two years ago.
