I know this might border on "commercialism", but I've got a 1998 Freightliner century that was rebuilt as a hauler in 2004.
I used to show 5-6 horses, and this rig was the way to haul. I am older now and don't really need this rig and think it would make a great car hauler for the same or less money than a new or late model dually. Only single axle (to help with scales?). In 9 years of hauling I never stopped at a scale and was never stopped.
Detroit 60 motor is original with 420k miles. I've kept up on maintenance. Gets 9-10 mpg hauling 4-5 horses (and I have a heavy foot). See http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/3326439164.html if interested.

My fault - I told him, thru another site ( http://transportfool.com/forum/ ), to drop by here and post it in the Car Haul sub-forum. I forgot all about the classifieds.
