I just started with Wel 2 weeks ago. The only pay scales I've heard have been .38 for otr and .40 for regional with a forced perdiem. As of right now I'm rethinking my decision. I do the regional with them, but have only been getting about 1k miles a week. I've been sitting in my truck more then driving. If there going to make you pay for the plane tickets might as well go to Green Bay for a short vacation! Lol Good luck to you!!

Well Here i am back home after my first week with Paul Miller...I will tell you i am very happy...i am in a 2011 Volvo 770?...very nice truck great Dispatchers...the company says they will always treet you with respect and they expect the same....everything the recruiter told me has happened..sofar..and he told me if it dosent to call him...every body i have met sofar has been great even other drivers..1st week i was in oreintation 3 days and still got in 1500 miles...they told me they dont want to hire just drivers to fill seats...they want proffesional drivers that will stay and be treated rite and also treet the company the same...I was impressed to meet the owner and see him leave with a load....and he has 75 trucks...that impressed me when i met him he is a regular guy....well the pruff is in the puddin...and time will tell but for now i think i made a good decision...thanks for everyones help

yes i am still here..... it has been a rocky road to start..there are seriouse problems in the trucking world..not just here...the first and biggest problem is the way you are treeted this is the only industry that everyone gets paid the same wages weather you have 3 months or 30 years...thats a problem...can you imagine hiring an accountant with 20 yrs experance and sticking him in the file room...welcome to trucking....when you are a new hire thay treet you like you have never driven a truck before....thats a problem...i needed to stand up for myself and tell them i wasnot putting up with the B/S..,..so far so good....ask me in 6 months....

If you last 6 months I'd be amazed. From what I hear they can't hire drivers fast enough to cover what they are loosing.

Blah, blah blah... 'hard time finding good drivers' is hogwash... hard time 'keeping good drivers' would be more in line with the truth... it's a salesman trying to make a quota/living at your expense.

Paul Miller. AirGas is blowing smoke. A month?... for what? If you have your HazMat already then what could they be doing, the background check is done?!

That's why I don't fall for that TWIC crap either. If the FBI, Homeland Security and the State Police all cleared me to carry anything up to and including Class 1 explosives anywhere in the Country, then keep your TWIC... I don't need it. (guess what?... I've yet to be turned down for entry to a Marine Dock).
