The simple explanation is they don't care, ultimately your responsible the same goes for doing hot loads they will keep giving them to you until you put your foot down and say no i won't risk it. Good call on your part though and i hope that dispatcher gets his butt kicked.

 

Like England, Werners DM's might make a Low Hourly Wage but make a Decent Commission on Loads that are on Time. I hated CRE's Dispatchers because they were always putting me on tight Loads and Demanding i brake the Law. Maybe Werner Runs the same way.

Depending on how heavy the truck was and how far I would have to go, I would choose to drive on two FLAT tires if it meant i could get them fixed and get back to the real reason any of us do this job, making money.

 

Werner pays by the miles and being stuck in a place for 7+ hours when I could be making some pennies I would do it any day of the week
