I didn't get down the road from my dealership when my passenger window got stuck half way down.
LOL! It needs a new regulator.

Must be a major Hissy fit! Out of curiousity - what the hp on your Detroit? Mines actually got a Cat 550.
    Sorry.

i believe it's 560 on my DD 15. I LOVE that engine....new ones are 505hp. I haul 72,300 every day with no problems in the mountains.

I've been reading that it takes around 100-150K miles before a new or remanufactured engine gets to its optimum fuel efficiency.

I love mine Sara. It pulls down to 1100 no problem, very quiet too. They are also noted for fuel efficiency as well.

A couple of years ago, I had an opportunity to speak with a representative by the name of Lyle at Detroit Diesel.
He was kind of high up on the bigwig chain there. I learned quite a bit from him, and he even offered a discount off
an extended warranty if I did go with a Western Star. He was pretty passionate about this engine, and I had a lot of respect for that. It wasn't just a "sell job".
BUT, I liked the interest rate on the Paccar lease and the smaller downpayment on the Peterbilt. Hopefully, I haven't made a mistake with this cummins.

Update... Tweek'n the computer did little if anything but now that its got 170 000kms we are down an injector (maybe more), EGR filter and one turbo! Gonna take a few days (been 2 already) cause Pete is so backed up with similar problems.
