actually the idle bonus is paid monthly they add it on your regular deposit

 

Thanks guys. Picked up a load of Veneer in Marion WI headed to Stevenson Alabama for Monday. Decided to knock the 100 miles off down to richfield and stay here for the night again. And get back on the schedule I like so far of starting to drive between 3 and 30 in the morning and my eleven being up around 2 230. I will do whatever the load takes though!

 

what am i thinking of then? safety bonus? i dont remember ever getting an idle bonus and i have almost zero idle. oh well.

 

playa when i was otr i would try to run as much and as quick as possible. if that meant driving from 8pm to 6am i would do it. sometimes you just gotta go when you can. i got stuck for about 2 weeks on nothing but night driving. but i was making good money so i didnt care.

 

And then there are times you have no choice...

Last month I was in Trenton for my B-service. Got my truck in first thing at 5:30 am. At 11 am they told me a bolt broke as they were cleaning inside the turbo. By 330pm they had everything back together. I notified my dispatcher and got a load to northern Wisconsin for the next morning at 8am. I got to bed at 4am central, 24 hours after getting up in Trenton. That drive sucked. It was dense fog from Madison all the way to the customer.

 

For you guys that are working at Millis, after submitting your application, did you guys wait for the hiring manager to call you? or did you guys call them instead? It's been a good week since my online application for the student driver, i wonder if i should call them on monday or wait patiently for a few more days?

 

I would call monday to "check on my app"

 

They called me like two hours after I hit submit but I guess they weren't too busy then either.
