My FM and the planner came through and found a relay driver to take the load of doors to Wash DC and therefore me uncoupled from the dreaded curtainbox. Got loaded in Holstein, IA around 1600 yesterday and completed the ~500 mile drive to Gary at 0120 this morning. Stopped at a scale on the way and of course the tandems were heavy so had to slide them a-gain. Had to put ear plugs in to keep from going deaf from the dozens of hammer strikes required on the pins.

Hanging out at the Gary construction project this weekend then loading in Hammond, IN going to Plover, WI Monday. Then on to Marshfield to have the fuel heater installed. So happy to have a normal flatbed again.

Picked up in Russellville KY at Logan. Ran into a trainer that was cool enough to show me a trick for the back of the lumber tarp which will save me a lot of time now.. After that I helped him tarp and both of us walked over and helped another lease op tarp.

Me and the other lease op are going to the same place so I followed him. He has a 10000000x time better route that avoid every big city. 40 miles longer, but I don't have to deal with chitown or any major city. So we boogied up the interstate to this TA at the 24 / 57.

He is taking a 34 and I have enough time on the load I can to. Also figured out a few things I need to get done to the truck. Things that will improve MPG

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

I also had to wait for my trailer to get loaded there last night. Pre plan also said pre loaded and the window for pick up was 1800-2359. I started my day at 2230 showed up at 2310 and the trailer was still being loaded. I didn't get out of there until almost 0100. I guess they aren't to reliable with pre loaded trailers.

Yeah I pulled out of there about 0130 last night. So I ended up with a full 10 hr break. Drove about 5 and a half hours and was just too tired. Sooo stopped near Mississippi border at T/A.

Added some coolant and oil, changed fuel filter. Walked over to Jimmy John, which was pretty awesome. Then to GameStop and got AC 2, then over to Walmart to buy some movies. As we walked out I noticed a RV hauler pulled into the parking lot but failed to realize Walmart had 12ft low clearance beams over their drive way and he topped the AC unit on the beam. So that RV hauler was stuck, offered to help out but he didnt want to talk so me and the other lease op just went back to our trucks.

    Gonna get some chilis tonight!

Its weird being at home this weekend. But the way the load lined up it worked nicely. Have to be in Tioga ND to deliver 7 am monday, Which is not to far from Williston ND. My Fm sent me a message yesterday stating the history of this consignee is it takes forever to unload. Was told expect to be there all day.

Most likely leave late morning tomorrow and drive for 5 or 6 hours and find someplace to stop to sleep. Run the last little bit Monday morning to be there on time.
