Yes they do. The shop must install it, which they do for free. I believe 1750 watts is the max. There are some other rules such as the terminals have to be far apart and the type with a set screw.

 

I am coming back to us xpress next week. I worked for them in 2010 for family dollar dedicated. Even though I was doing a dedicated account, they never told anyone that they had to team with someone. I didn't have to go out with a trainer then or now but do they really force teams now? I really don't want to be told I have to team with someone. If I must team, I would rather have the option to choose. I go to orientation again in Irving next Wednesday and that might be a deterring factor to returning to the company.

 

Experienced drivers don't have to team. New drivers team with other new drivers for 8 weeks after their time with a trainer as a way to extended the training process. That way two new guys still have someone else to work things out with while they are still in the learning stages. After the 8 weeks they can go solo if they want. New drivers that hire on to dedicated accounts don't have to team after being with a trainer, they do however spend more time with their trainer before getting to go solo.
